What if it had been Disney that had scooped up the Harry Potter property in its infancy? What would have become of these dark “kids” movies (the latest of which I have not yet seen)?

I still wish that Gilliam had something to do with the franchise, but Warner Bros. have done it justice.
And although I would call the first few “kids” movies (as with the books), the latter half of the series, especially the most recent movie, are so far removed from the genre of children’s literature and film that I can’t believe some audiences are trying to make that connection.
