Two very different portions of my brain are now meeting in an explosion that rivals the crash of that Star Destroyer into the surface of the Death Star:

If Greedo and Han can make up and share ice cream this Valentine’s Day, can’t you call up your ex-best friend, or your estranged brother or something and make nice?
Tons of other great Star Wars Jr. themed Valentines by artist James Stowe featuring all your favourite good guys and baddied, holding hands and smiling.

How fantastic is this, Star Wars nerds? You can buy the postcard for $8 at Zazzle, but I’d love to see it as a poster.
Or a short film. Oh please, a short film.
Update: Turns out the artist is Franco Brambilla, and he’s done a series of sci-fi inspired prints, including this one, which I also love:
Based on this, I’d wager that French television in the 70s filled the same North American cultural niche as Japanese television does today.
Thanks Colin!
Thanks so much to my brother-in-law who sent me a link to this amazing seven-part video series — an extensive review of “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” and all that was wrong with it.
If I had had to guess, I would have said that a list of everything wrong with the movie would rival the length of the movie itself, sure, but I never expected anyone to go out and tear it apart like this guy does.
It’s 70 minutes total.
Watch them one at a time, if you like. The first one is below, and the rest of them are below the jump. I’ve also included brief intros to the segments, as they were quoted on Slashfilm, which is the link I was sent.
“In this opening segment I discuss the major flaw of The Phantom Menace which is the characters and the lack of connection with the audience.”
I can only imagine the mind-bendy things that might have happened with the Force.
That’s the original trilogy desecrated. If you’d like to see the prequel zombie posters, check out here.
By the by, these posters were drawn by Matt Busch, an official Star Wars artist for Lucasfilm, which DOESN’T MAKE IT RIGHT.
But who has seen bits and pieces, mind you!
She’s got the basic story and plot elements down, but it’s all mixed up. I hope that directly after this, her friend (the guy who made the video) sat her down to watch the entire thing.
