Shh, Colin! I was pretty sure that the Brandon Folk Fest wasn’t announcing until Thursday!

At any rate, the idea intrigues me — I would have time to do a Brandon Folk Fest rundown post-Winnipeg and pre-Brandon, though.

Now, how to fit Regina in there….

Why don’t you start with a similar rundown of the Brandon Folk Festival? They just announced Buffy St. Marie as a headliner (and artist in residence, which means she’s being generous enough to work with local artists and musicians, on top of her performance) and have another great line up as well – including local faves Son Latino.

OK that was a blatant plug (full disclosure: I’m on the board) but why not do both? Absurd Intellectual and Manitoba music — two new BFF’s.

I like it, even though I’ve been lax on posting lately and shouldn’t really comment on how the project relates to the scope of Absurd Intellectual. I often peruse festival performers’ music before attending festivals, just to see who I need to see and such, and it would be really fun to chat about these things.

Depending on Rogers network coverage at the fest, you guys can use my data plan to post video/pictures/ notes, if it seems useful.

I hadn’t heard good things about the console versions of Civ — I was reading that it was too ‘dumbed-down’ but that’s interesting to hear. I’m such an addict.
