Greeting cards for people you don’t actually like that much

I laughed and laughed and laughed while browsing the selection at MeanCards.com, which means you’ll laugh and laugh and laugh when you give them to people whose feelings you either don’t care that much about, or whose friendship you are really secure in keeping.

At just $3 a card, they’re super affordable, and shipping looks pretty reasonable, too (it tested out to about $5 to Manitoba, so load up a few cards, and it’s comparable to buying Hallmark).

    I bought my wife’s b-day card — just a normal card, mind you, not an oversized one or a singing one or anything like that — and was rather surprised that it cost me $4. So yeah, if these cards, shipping included, cost $5, that’s very reasonable.

    just to clarifiy, it’s $3 a card, plus $5 for shipping (as tested with a MB postal code). I didn’t check multiples of cards, but I would assume at least up to 10 cards, shipping would be a flat rate. That would work out to $3×10 = $30 +$5 = $35 / 10 cards = $3.50 per card.

    But for just one card, you’re looking at $8 total.

    And yeah, with the price of Hallmark and other brands of cards, my family has taken to buying magazines and scrawling “Happy Birthday” on them with a Sharpie. Hey, it’s the same $4.

    Those greeting cards at Mean Cards are hilarious. What a great find, thanks for sharing that. I don’t think I’d have it in me to send any of them. I have a greeting card shop in Australia, I wonder how they’d sell to the Australian market. http://www.thinkcards.com.au
