A co-worker just told me about a PBS documentary she saw the other day called “Young@Heart.” It follows the Young@Heart chorus — a spirited group of senior citizens that takes the lyrics of contemporary pop songs (including classic artists like Aretha Franklin and some punk) but who reinterprets them in their own distinctive style.

I wish the documentary were available online, but you can get a sample of the style by watching the preview video here. There’s a few other videos here, too.

Looks cute!

The choir appears to be on tour (the “Alive and Well” tour) so check it out and see if they’re coming near you.
