Remembering that our idea of months has a lunar basis, originally, makes this calendar not just an inspiring work of art, but also somewhat thought-provoking. That’s all of 2010 up there — days go from top to bottom, in monthly columns (so, top-left is Jan. 1, bottom-left is Jan. 31, next column in goes from Feb. 1 at the top to Feb. 28 at the bottom, all the way to the bottom-right, which is Dec. 31).
Not only does it show the phases of the moon at a glance, I think I’d be happy having it up on my wall. Way to go, Michæl Paukner, on whose Flickr stream this is.
It’s also a good time to remind you all of one of my favourite words: gibbous.
