What kind of influence would those rings have had on our science and mythologies? Imagine early mathematicians calculating the circumference of the earth using the differing widths of the rings at different latitudes. It could have been invaluable for navigation.

But would massive debris rings make, oh, GPS satellites impossible? It&#039;s basically a roadblock to a lot of satellites</description>
