I saw this on the Toronto Star, but it’s a Canadian Press story:

Three nests of bald eagles in British Columbia that have been streaming live over the Internet for several years could soon have a few new additions after several eggs were laid.

The Hancock Wildlife Foundation, which operates the webcams on Hornby Island, Sydney and Delta says three eggs have already been laid in Sidney, one on Hornby Island and two in Delta.

The Hornby Island egg is expected to hatch around April 26, the three eggs in Sidney could hatch around April 5 and the two Delta eggs could hatch by the end of this month.

You can follow along, live on the streaming Internet, which is kind of cool, although when I first checked it out, it was pitch black.

That said, if you happen to be watching while one of the eggs hatches, that’d be neat. I suspect I’ll have to watch it back later. Luckily, they also have several other videos online, including archives from previous years’ webcams.

There’s more at their home page, too!
