Shamelessly pinched from my friend Ben, whose daily cartoon I direct you to.
Now, the comedian on Conan’s show, a gent by the name of Louis CK, does seem to have a point: despite the economic downturn, we really are surrounded by a pretty amazing life. We live in a pretty good time. And even if you lose your job, and house, and things look dire, it’s not like medieval Europe, when your life as a serf meant unending toil until the Black Death took ya.
So, are we all just spoiled brats? Or what?

“Spoiled brats, undoubtedly, and in danger of becoming all too dependent on a rapidly evolving technology,” he wrote from his home computer, while text messaging his nephew across the province.
I emailed you the same link. Sniffle. Why you no read my emails to you, huh?
Oh, I’m so sorry! I so rarely read any emails these days! I’ve rapidly become a facebook whore. Credit also to Mpot, who doesn’t, to my knowledge, have a daily comics site that I can link to.
Next time, Mikey. Next time I promise!
Smooth, Grant.
You should also check out Louis C. K.’s stand up comedy. I highly recommend watching “Chewed Up”. It’s hilarious!
A few decades back I told my young offspring that when I was young I didn’t watch TV because they was no such thing as TV – at least in these parts.
At first they didn’t believe me, until I explained in greater detail, and I could see the look of amazement on their faces.
It was soon replaced by a puzzled look, and the question – well what did you do for fun then?
That’s when I realized that I should not only be amazed at my life, but that I should be spending more time making my kids life more amazing.
